This is something I’ve thought about when I’ve used condensed milk in baking. However, I never looked it up until I wrote this post.

According to this post by Eagle Brand condensed milk is whole milk combined with beet sugar or cane sugar, with about 60% of the water removed.

  • Food Processor (optional)
  • Long Spatula
  • 12×8 Baking Pan

Ingredients

  • 18 graham crackers (rolled fine) I used a food processor
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 6 oz. chocolate chip half the bag
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Crush graham crackers. You can use a rolling pin, a mug, whatever crushes well. I used a food processor.
  • Add condensed milk, chocolate chips and vanilla to graham crackers.
  • Mix and incorporate well.
  • Grease or spray 12×8 baking pan (you can use 13×9 pan)
  • Spoon batter in pan and spread out evenly.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes
  • Let cool for 10 minutes (optional) and devour

Notes

These freeze well.  Put in plastic freezer container or wrap the bars tightly with aluminum foil or plastic freezer wrap, or place in a heavy duty freezer bag.
