  • 4 ounces Cream cheese room temperature
  • ¾ cup Butter 1½ sticks – room temperature
  • cups Sugar
  • 3 Eggs room temperature
  • cups All purpose flour I sifted my flour
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract you can use a little more.
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips I used Toll House Semi Sweet mini chips


  • Cream cream cheese and butter well.
    4 ounces Cream cheese, ¾ cup Butter
  • Add sugar and cream well.
    1½ cups Sugar
  • Add the flour alternately with the eggs to the cream sugar mixture
    1½ cups All purpose flour, 3 Eggs
  • Add vanilla extract
    2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
    1 cup Chocolate chips
  • Pour batter in a greased loaf pan and bake at 325° for 45 minute to 1 hour. It all depends on your oven.
  • Remove from oven and let cool 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Remove from pan and devour.


I used 2 teaspoons of Mexican Vanilla and it worked really well.  I
To keep your chocolate chips from falling to the bottom of the cake while baking, toss them in a tablespoon of flour first and put in batter.
You can double this recipe and use a bundt or tube pan.
