- 4 to 6 ounces Cream Cheese At room temperature. If you want a cream cheesier less sweet glaze use 6 ounces.
- 4 Tablespoons Butter At room temperature
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar Preferably sifted
- 1 to 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 to 2 Tablespoons Milk Optional – At room temperature. Whether you use it and how much depends on how thick or thin you like your glaze.
Instructions
- Cream butter and cream cheese well.
- Slowly add powdered sugar. Mix until there are no lumps and add vanilla.
- If you'd like to thin the glaze stir in a little milk at a time, stirring after each addition.
- You can also thin the glaze by microwaving until it's pourable. Let the glazed cake sit and allow the glaze to set before it is served.
- Pour or spoon glaze on cake.
